Established in 1992, this small shop has quickly become a popular dining and confectionary destination for locals and tourists alike. The shop is run by two sisters called Corrine and Pamela who have also opened a cafe in the corner of the High Street called Cacao Cafe Melbourne.

They feature two restaurants which offer a variety of freshly made specialty foods and desserts, as well as two bars and an organic juice bar. As part of their expansion plan, the melbourne chocolate maker has also started selling its own range of chocolate making accessories like truffles, marshmallows and chocolate covered cream balls. They have also signed a deal with the well-known coffee conglomerate Caffeine Crunch. With a history that spans three centuries, the chocolate making industry in Australia is still relatively new. Many of the makers do not even have their own factories yet, but work from small home based shops.

It is predominantly a high end confectionery business catering mainly to the high end chocolate lover. The company is run by a pair of passionate lovers who have an undying passion for producing the best quality chocolate. The two met at university and were instantly smitten by each other. "We fell in love with the chocolate making business and the way it fit into our lives" says Beverley. She has been a full-time chocolate maker for fifteen years and loves the challenges and learning she has had to undertake in her role. Beverley first gained experience working at the famous Milford Haven chocolate factory in New South Wales before pursuing a career path that would see her take charge of many other chocolate making businesses in her home country.

The Melbourne chocolate shop is part of the larger Horshampton based chocolate manufacturing company Horshamarts. They have four factories all operated on a tight profit margin and have diversified into other areas of chocolate making and retailing. The company is also recognised worldwide for its confectionary designs. The Melbourne shop is one of their flagship stores.
