The Phillips Island Tour is actually a group of events that have brought together many local businesses, educational institutions, sports teams, and government bodies. The goal is to make sure Phillips Island stays clean, dry, and preserved for future generations. For this purpose they have developed a program of activities that will continue to go on for at least ten years. These events have been carefully planned and can be enjoyed by anyone from any age group.

The first Phillips Island Tour activity that was organized was the launch of the South Carolina Sea Turtle Protection Act. This law has been designed to help protect the little population of sea turtles who live on the islands. This little population has been threatened by illegal fishermen who also take part in the killing of the turtles. On the july of each year an organization such as "Save the St. Phillips Island Tour" which is run by the Phillips Island Restoration Corporation will hold a seminar to educate everyone about the plight of the turtles. On the morning of the event a free "Turtles Lunch" picnic will be held where everyone can help raise money for the Sea Turtle Protection Fund and help save the little population.

Another Phillips Island Tour activity that was held in June of 2021 involved hosting a Bug Spray Cancer Awareness Tournament. Approximately sixty different local businesses along with volunteers put on this three day event to educate people about cancer prevention. The proceeds of the bug spray sales would go to benefit the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

In addition to the fishing, hiking, and bug spraying programs there was also a car show featuring state of the art cars. The Phillips Hunting Island State Park is also located in St. Phillips, South Carolina. At the park you will be able to enjoy hunting, swimming, camping, hiking, and viewing the beautiful scenery. The St. Phillips Island State Park is actually a resort area so not only will you find plenty of activities but the food and lodging are great as well.

Phillips is a beautiful beach town in Florida and is just minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico. It is the largest barrier island on the east coast of the United States and is located on the eastern shore of the St. Lawrence River. On the evening of November nineteen ninety six the town experienced a tragic event when forty nine-year-old Joseph Wurzelbacher was struck and killed by a train while walking on the tracks. To this day the town grieves, but life goes on for those who love the outdoors and its natural beauties, in the Phillips town black bear hunt, forty-five car shows, annual Tomato festival, and Phillips Island Golf and Country Club.
